For New Parents at ROMS

Welcome to all Students and Parents

At the start of the new school year we want to invite all of you to fully participate. For all new parents (6^th grade) you will find yourself in a changing role. Just like your students, it is time to adjust.  Despite your new role parent involvement in the schools is still important and has a positive impact on your student’s performance.

                                
One of the big changes you will find at the beginning of this year is the new ROMS motorized traffic plan. Please be patient, get informed and keep every child’ safety in mind.

         

 

Last year we started our work on a non-motorized plan. We hope to double our efforts this year and ask for your input and participation.

Some of the reasons to Walk (or Bike) to School:

· Improving physical activity

· Concern for the environment

· Reducing traffic congestion, pollution and speed near schools

· Making connections with students and parents that live in your

neighborhood.
